About the artwork
I went into my office simply to pick up a book. On the wall, a series of small patches of light had been drawn by the sun’s rays filtering through the shutter.
The scene would probably last only a few moments, so I went to get my camera to capture this unexpected light. From this almost accidental encounter between shadow, sunlight and everyday life, Inner Eclipse was born through transformation.
Augmented reality
My Imaginary Planets grow out of my desire to transform reality and see it in a different light. With augmented reality, I take this journey beyond the printed image.
At my exhibitions, point your smartphone at the artwork: an animation appears over the photograph and brings it to life. Movement reveals a detail, shifts familiar points of reference and offers another way to read the composition.
I love sharing that moment when your perception changes, when an image you thought you knew slips a little beyond your grasp. It is a way of inviting you further into my world, while leaving room for your own response.
A free app makes this experience possible. I’ll reveal it when we next meet at an exhibition.
The video below offers a glimpse. The rest unfolds in front of the artwork…
