Pointillism
Through photographic pointillism, I continue my artistic explorations by playing with the fragmentation of the image and the vibration of colours. Cities, architecture and their familiar lines become compositions in which a multitude of dots, shades and lights invite the eye to travel between individual details and the overall view.
Starting with my original photographs, I seek to bring the precision of the image into dialogue with a more painterly sensibility. Outlines soften, textures come alive and places are reinvented in an atmosphere that sometimes approaches painting. It is another way of moving beyond a simple representation of reality and opening up new perspectives for my Imaginary Planets.
