Paul Marnef, contemporary art photographer. A unique and original artistic universe for the photos of Imaginary Planets

I am an artist photographer, and my artistic approach is to reinvent the world through photographs, to make it lighter and transport you to other planets, so close to our daily lives yet still so little-known. My photographic creations: Imaginary Planets embody a poetic and intimate vision of our connection with Earth. My artistic photography is an invitation to explore a world that is both familiar and mysterious, a planet where essential values come to life. In these imaginary universes, nature reveals itself in all its splendor and reminds us of the importance of our connection with our environment.

Don't know where to start?

Imaginary Planets brings together more than two hundred creations, encompassing landscapes, trees, seas, cities, flowers, black and white, abstraction, and new contemporary series. To explore this universe more easily, you can begin with a recent selection, a small, accessible piece, or a large work designed for your home.

Professional Photographer

A Sensitive Artistic Perspective on Our World and Beyond

As a professional photographer, my goal is to capture the unique beauty the world offers us, while playing with the essential elements of photography: light, color, texture, and composition. Through each shot, I explore dreamlike worlds or those firmly rooted in reality, but always imbued with emotion and harmony.

The Evocative Power of a Suspended Moment

Each image I create reveals a beauty suspended in time, a form of visual poetry that suggests as much as it shows. My photographs invite us to slow down, to contemplate, to fully experience the moment. This visual photographic pause becomes an act of resistance to the speed of the contemporary world.

Light as a Living Material

Light is at the heart of my approach. It sculpts shapes, reveals materials, animates shadows, and infuses each shot with its own unique atmosphere. Sometimes soft and diffuse, sometimes dramatic and sharp, it becomes a true living material with which I compose my images.

Photographic compositions that open the imagination

I always seek a composition that transcends reality. A horizon line, a lone tree, a silhouette, a forgotten piece of architecture... so many elements become symbols within the frame. My photographs then become fragments of history, doors opening onto other worlds.

The photos of Imaginary Planets: an artistic and ecological exploration

My Imaginary Planets series is part of an approach that is both artistic and ethical. By capturing the essence of these dream worlds, sometimes isolated in space or seemingly floating in the universe, I offer a reflection on our relationship with the Earth, with nature, with all living things.

A call to preserve our planet

These limited-edition works are also a silent manifesto: they remind us that our planet is unique, fragile, and that it is our responsibility to protect it. Each tiny Imaginary Planet image echoes what we risk losing if we forget our deep connection to nature.

An invitation to return to the essentials

Through their apparent simplicity, my images invite us to rediscover the pure and fundamental elements of our existence: water, sky, earth, light, the breath of the wind, or the silence of a landscape. They are all windows onto a poetic of minimalism, a refined aesthetic that aims to reconnect the viewer with the essential. As a professional photographer, my goal is to capture this unique beauty while playing with elements of light, color, texture, and composition to give a new dimension to each shot. Each image reveals a beauty suspended in time, while emphasizing the urgency of preserving our planet. By capturing the essence of these dream worlds, my limited-edition Imaginary Planet photographs remind us that Earth is unique and precious. They invite us to return to the essentials, to rediscover the simple and pure elements that make up our existence.

Contemporary and Modern Art Photography for Sale - Fine Art Photo Prints

My Imaginary Planets art prints are produced with the utmost precision, whether on Alu Dibond, fine art paper, or Chromaluxe or Diachrome Plexiglas. These professional print-quality media highlight the smallest details and nuances of my photographs. Chromaluxe, thanks to a sublimation process, captures the richness of colors and the depth of blacks and whites, making each photo print as vibrant as the original shot. This type of printing is ideal for those looking for a glossy and durable finish, with no risk of yellowing or fading over time. Furthermore, mounting on Alu Dibond brings a modern touch to the work by offering a matte or satin finish, with excellent stability and durability.

Each photograph is available in several formats, perfect for the walls of art lovers and contemporary spaces. Lovers of contemporary photography and photo art will find a unique work, somewhere between dream and reality.

I offer my works as fine art prints, a reproduction process in limited, numbered, and signed editions. These fine art prints are printed with archival-quality inks on premium photo paper. The fine art paper, often mixed or textured, enhances details and adds a special depth to the images. My reproductions are designed to stand the test of time while maintaining their original brightness and intensity.
The optional use of Plexiglas or acrylic glass enhances the visual impact of the works. This Plexiglas mounting process adds extra brilliance and gives a sophisticated finish to the photograph. The colors appear even more intense, creating a luminous work that captures the eye and invites contemplation. For those who prefer more discreet works or a refined style, prints can also be offered on Alu Dibond, a lightweight yet sturdy material that guarantees a simple and modern finish.

Certificate of Authenticity for my Photographic Works

I deliver my fine art photographs with a numbered and signed certificate of authenticity. The title of the work, its finish, the format of the photo, the year it was taken, and the location are all included in the certificate issued by a contemporary artist.

My fine art photographs printed in high definition

The high-quality inkjet printing I use in my photo prints guarantees faithful reproduction of colors and shades, including for the black and white photographs, where every texture detail and every variation of gray is highlighted. The choice of medium, whether photo paper or sublimation, is essential to ensure optimal rendering and maximum longevity.

Printing black and white photos

My black and white fine art photographs are printed on Canson Infinity or Hahnemühle Digital FineArt Collection baryta or fine art paper, leading brands in high-quality premium photographic printing.

My work is also presented at exhibitions where my large-format works allow the public to fully immerse themselves in my imaginary worlds. Each exhibition is an opportunity to share my vision and invite visitors to reflect on their own relationship with nature, while offering them the opportunity to acquire a unique work of art.

As a professional photographer, I work with photo labs specializing in photo printing, leading providers in Belgium for photographic artists. A professional photo lab is equipped with the latest photographic printing technology, guaranteeing prints of impeccable quality, whether printed on Alu Dibond, fine art paper, or Chromaluxe.

Original and contemporary photos and creations for collectors and art lovers

Whether you are an experienced art collector or an art lover looking to enrich your home with a unique work, my photographs are designed to spark your curiosity and fuel your imagination. Each print is mounted on a sturdy frame, ready to hang and display. The finish of each photo print, whether framed or unframed, is designed to meet the expectations of discerning art lovers, while adapting to different environments, whether an office, a gallery, or a living room. I am delighted to know that my works travel, that they find their place in spaces that resonate with the viewers' sensibilities. My photographs of Imaginary Planets are a journey to the heart of worlds where landscapes are sublime, horizons reimagined, and where imagination knows no bounds.

If you would like to know more about formats, premium finishes, or to discover how my Fine Art photographs can transform your space, please do not hesitate to contact me. You can also find more information about printing processes, including those offered by Chromaluxe Fine-art Printing and my professional lab partners in Belgium, on their respective websites.

Together, let’s travel to imaginary worlds where photographic art combines with the poetry of everyday life.
