An art photographer passionate about trees
I am Paul Marnef, an art photographer based in Belgium, creator of the Imaginary Planets series. For years, I have been interested in the shapes, textures, and symbols that trees carry in our collective imagination. My goal: to offer photographs of trees that don't just document reality, but also awaken the imagination and emotions.
Some works were created in Walloon Brabant, others in European forests, or on seashores where a single tree resists the wind. All these places are photographed with particular attention to natural light, composition, and what the tree tells us.
A diversity of trees for every view

Others appear in groups, like a close-knit group braving the elements. The black and white trees reveal their graphic essence with particular intensity, while others play with colors and contrasts.
