Fine art landscape photographs

In my fine art landscape photographs, I revisit the places that inspire my vision and then transform them into Imaginary Planets. A field, a tree, a hill or a sky become starting points. The landscape retains its presence, whilst its geography opens up to other perspectives.

This gallery brings together works associated with the theme of Landscapes. It invites you to discover them through their images and compositions, rather than in the form of a travel guide. Each thumbnail leads to the work’s details page.

A real place, another geography

I photograph whatever catches my eye in a place: a particular light, a line that organises the space, or a relationship between different materials. The process of transformation then shifts these balances. Some landscapes remain recognisable; others become an almost autonomous world. In between, I leave room for what each person might see and feel there.

To explore a particular region, take a look at my landscapes of Walloon Brabant or my perspective on Occitanie. The ‘Nature and Imagination’ page expands on this theme.

Find the landscape that speaks to you.

A landscape photograph may move you through the memory of a place, but also through a form you were previously unfamiliar with. Look at the proportion of sky, the density of detail and the contrasts. Then compare several works without limiting yourself to the first colour you perceive: their rhythms can create very different atmospheres.

To help you visualise the pieces, my installation simulations show various ways of displaying them indoors. You can then view the formats and media, as well as information on the limited-edition prints. Finally, if a piece catches your eye, I’d be delighted to discuss your choice with you.
