Fine art photographs of cities and architecture

My fine art architectural photographs take their cue from the forms that the city presents to the eye. A façade, a square or a vista become lines to be moved, brought closer together or rotated. In my *Imaginary Planets*, buildings sometimes retain their identity whilst inhabiting an unexpected space.

This gallery brings together works relating to the themes of Architecture and Urban Life. It allows you to explore different cities through my transformed photographs. Click on an image to discover the work, its location and the print options available.

Shifting the city’s landmarks

What interests me in an urban scene is not just the recognisable monument. It is also the empty space around it, the relationship between the volumes, or the movement of a passer-by. When a photograph becomes an Imaginary Planet, these elements shift position. The viewer’s gaze can then take a different path through a place one thought one knew.

Choosing an architectural photograph

Compare the compositions beyond the name of the city. Some works focus the architecture around a central point; others leave more space for the sky or the materials. Your attachment to a place may guide your choice, but an unfamiliar image may also catch your eye because of its balance and light.

To help you visualise the pieces, my installation simulations show various ways of displaying them indoors. You can then view the formats and media, as well as information on the limited-edition prints. Finally, if a piece catches your eye, I’d be delighted to discuss your choice with you.
