Fine art photographs of Paris

My fine art photographs of Paris offer a different way of encountering the city’s forms. Buildings, squares and the sky become the subject matter of my Imaginary Planets. I take what I have photographed as my starting point to shift perspectives, without seeking to produce a tourist guide.

This gallery brings together works associated with Paris and La Défense from my photography locations. It offers an insight into my perspective on their architecture and spaces. Click on a thumbnail to discover the location and history detailed in each work’s description.

Paris, beyond the initial exploration

A city that has been photographed so often may seem familiar even before one looks at it. What interests me is the moment when a detail shifts that impression: the presence of a sky, a relationship between volumes, or an unexpected curve. The transformation of the photograph allows us to suspend our usual points of reference and reveal a different balance.

To explore this body of work further, discover my photographs of cities and architecture or my ‘mini planets’ of Brussels. Details of events where my work can be viewed are listed separately on the Exhibitions page.

Choose your art photographs of Paris

The memory of a walk or a fondness for a building can bring you closer to a work of art. Do also take the time to look at its composition without dwelling on what you recognise. An open perspective and a denser image do not offer the same rhythm. The format of the print will then extend this relationship into your space.

To help you visualise the pieces, my installation simulations show various ways of displaying them indoors. You can then view the formats and media, as well as information on the limited-edition prints. Finally, if a piece catches your eye, I’d be delighted to discuss your choice with you.
